EyeView Digital Lands Funding to Increase Conversion Rates for Websites
EyeView Digital, a company out of Harvard Business School, announced today that they launched their new website and landed their first round of funding from the Gemini Israel Fund, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Gigi Levi, previous division president at Amdocs, and current CEO of 888 Holdings Plc. The investment will help them build on success the've already experienced while enabling them to grow their platform that transforms and increase online conversion rates through the use of rich-media content. Their service and technology offers an end-to-end solution that combines the creation, serving, testing, and optimizing of media to increase user engagement and to turn more visitors into real revenue for websites and their companies. The new website looks awesome and their services are positioned to take advantage of some of the biggest trends and needs on the web.
Websites are not only important to display information, they are becoming an increasingly important asset that companies use to communicate messages and compel users to action. Now-a-days, web properties are strongly tied and integrated with marketing initiatives and brand awareness. Therefore, there are two primary goals that are critical to hit in order to successful achieve those business strategies; 1. to increase in traffic and 2. to convert visitors into valuable leads to increase sales. Rich-media, such as video, audio, and interactive flash applications, have proven to be the most effective medium to catalyze this process. Even though companies utilize rich-media, there has never been a platform to capture its power for online conversion.
Their platform has already proven to be wildly successful and has helped increase eToro's conversion rate by 20%, DuplicatePoker.com's by 10%, and increased customer registration for Exent by improving their user experience. eBay also chose EyeView to explain new functionality in a compelling yet simple-to-understand way and will be continuing to use their products for their Italy portal, ProStore, and AdCommerce sites. Yahoo! was one of their first costumers as well.
How does EyeView acheive these rates for their clients? Their methodology is comprised of two parts; Serve and Test & Analyze:
Serve:
- Integrate add rich-media content into your website through simple integration of Java script code with virtually no required work or development required on your website.
- Stream make sure your users enjoy fastest highest quality streaming worldwide
- Rules, initiations and displays Select from a wide variety of serving preferences that control the timing, trigger options, appearance and player options.
Test & Analyze:
- Test Systematically test the effect of rich-media on your website, and continue iteratively to optimize your selection.
- Track the platform automatically tracks and records all user interaction during and immediately after the user views the rich-media content.
- Report all user interactions are presented in extensive reports that show user profiles, engagement information and conversion statistics.
According to eMarketer, "67% of all Internet users viewing some form of video advertising (in-stream, in-banner or in-text) at least once a month in 2008, the audience has reached critical mass." Video advertising will continue to grow, but it's growth will depend on the "amount of trusted, professional-quality video content, which will both attract a broad base of brand marketers and give them the mass reach they seek." EyeView Digital is clearly positioned to help those who already utilize video to increase their ROI while servicing new entrants. The company will likely play a vital role in the entire process.
We had a feeling that EyeView would continue to be successful and wrote about them earlier over here.
