Well there are a number of things that set this product apart from other over the counter cooking appliances. One is that instead of using one type of heating source, it uses three. It combines infrared heat, convection, and conduction heat to cook food. Two is that instead of having to thaw out food before you cook it, you can simply put whatever food you want to cook straight from the freezer into the oven and cook it. It is also healthier than many cooking methods, using the above described cooking methods instead of frying or baking.
The cons of this product include that the described cooking times included with the packaging are not correct. You will need to adjust these times, in order to make sure the food is cooked thoroughly. The convection dome is made from clear plastic, not Pyrex glass. This means the tops wear out quickly, and need to be replaced often. Apparently another major complaint that people have is that the company that actually manufactures the NuWave Oven has very poor customer service, so if you do have a problem, getting it resolved through the company is difficult.
