This is one of the most entertaining and enlightening talks I have ever listened to. This past summer, David Heinemeier Hansson, who is best known for his development work on Basecamp, 37 Signals' flagship product, and the creation of the Ruby on Rails web framework, told youngsters at Startup School about a tiny difference between him and them: he wants to make money with his products and services.
What ever happened to stand-alone, viable businesses?
