At one point or another you may need a good reckless driving defense. There are many different types of reckless driving, sometimes it is completely your fault, and at others it is due to circumstances that make you have to drive that way. It doesn’t even have to actually be reckless per say, but the act of driving itself becomes reckless.
Let’s start with some of the common forms of reckless driving. One is the person who doesn’t signal when they turn, or make lane changes, brakes at the last minute, and drives really slowly. Then you have the distracted driver. This can be because they are using their cell phone, talking or texting, and this is the worst kind of distraction. You also have the driver who is putting on makeup, eating, or changing the radio.
There is a big difference between an offensive driver and an aggressive driver. An offensive driver pays attention to the road, frequently looks in their mirrors, judges distances so they are not driving too close to those in front of them. They keep their eyes on other drivers, anticipating and preventing accidents. One the other hand, an aggressive driver is reckless, and doesn’t really care about anyone else. They will zip through traffic, try to get through a yellow light before it turns red, and flip people off who may get in their way. They make abrupt lane changes, they turn at a moment’s notice, and tailgate other drivers.
It doesn’t matter if you have had one drink, one beer, a single glass of wine, or are so intoxicated that you are falling down drunk, if you get into a vehicle like this you are impaired and shouldn’t be on the road. It doesn’t matter if you think you are the best driver when you’re a little buzzed, it only takes one time to get into an accident, and possibly kill someone. Unfortunately, when a drunk driver gets into an accident, especially with another driver, they come out unscathed while the other person can be seriously injured or even die. Why is this? Well the drunk person is relaxed, so they just flop around, while a sober driver freaks out and stiffens up before the crash.
There is also one more person who is a reckless driver. They could be the safest person on the road, obeying all the laws, making sure they are aware of their surroundings. They could just be going to and from work, or picking their kids up from school or dropping them off. The problem is, and what makes them a reckless driver is that they are driving with either a suspended license, or without a license at all. Not having a license is dangerous, you can’t get insurance if you don’t have a license. If you get pulled over for any reason, you could go to jail. If you get into an accident, even if it’s not your fault, you will be a fault because you were not suppose to be on the road in the first place.
There are people who think that these driving problems are simple tickets, especially things like aggressive or distracted driving. A lot of people know that driving drunk will get you much more than a ticket, and that driving without or a suspended license is also something that has more consequences than a ticket. However, what you may not know is that in many states you won’t just get a ticket, many of these are misdemeanor offenses or worse, especially if you are a habitual offender.
No matter what kind of problem with the law you have about your driving, you need a reckless driving defense. Getting a good lawyer can be difficult, because there are so many different lawyers out there, all trying to get your business. If you want the best attorney, without all the hassle, the best route to go is online. For one, there are many more attorneys online, and even if you have a lot of different attorneys in your area, by going online you don’t have to go to each lawyer or firm individually. If you live in a small community, the problem is that local attorneys don’t have a lot of competition, so they can pretty much charge you whatever they want. In addition, lawyers in smaller communities may be a jack of all trades sort of attorney, one that doesn’t specialize in just one business, but performs a lot of different things.
You want an attorney that specializes in just reckless driving defense cases. A person who does these kinds of cases for a living will know the laws on reckless driving, no matter if it was for driving on suspended privileges, just reckless driving, even DUI or DWI. This way you are far more likely to get a lower sentence, or even get off completely. Many attorneys who wear a lot of hats are so busy with all their caseloads they may be late showing up, or possibly not show up at all. This means that you will probably be fined heavily, could go on probation, or even spend some jail time.
In addition to finding an attorney that specializes in these kinds of cases, you also want an attorney who is reasonable. Now if you live in Virginia, in and around Fredericksburg, then there is one attorney you should turn to when it comes to reckless driving defense cases. This attorney is Andrew Flusche. The problem with a lot of attorneys is that they know you may be scared, especially if it’s a DWI or driving with suspended privileges case. You are fearful because you don’t know if you are just going to get fined, or some jail time. They know you are at their mercy, really, so they can charge you whatever they want, and because you are in panic mode, you will probably pay it.
A Flusche is a young go getter, specializing in all kinds of driving related offenses. These include but are not limited to driving with a suspended licence, DWI, speeding, passing a stopped school bus, and other traffic and misdemeanor charges. He is fast, courteous, and won’t rake you over the coals when it comes to his fees.
