It's great to see something new on the Emerginvest website. When I visited last week there was a stark splash page encouraging me to 'come back soon!' When I visited today, there wasn't a lot of action, but there was a tantalizing world map showing how hot emerging markets were for potential investors. Interested ...? Emerginvest is a website providing actionable information on over 40,000 public companies on 142 exchanges worldwide to individuals. The folks at Emerginvest emphasize that they provide actionable information unavailable to most American investors, except for those with over $1mm in investable assets. Emerginvest helps small-time investors identify promising opportunities in emerging markets and make smart investment decisions. The team at Emerginvest includes CEO Andrew Waterman,
a Standford MBA and Business Director, Ajay Kulkarni, a second year MBA at MIT's Sloan School of Management, graduating in the spring of 2008. Before founding Emerginvest Waterman was, an English teacher at Mae Fah Luang University in Thailand, among other things and Kulkarni co-founder Wit Doctor Products, a company that sold humorous, gourmet chocolates in the Los Angeles, New York and New Jersey areas. When the cool rollover maps gives way to Emerginvest's information services I'm curious to see what they say about investment opportunities in places like Brazil, Nigeria, and Vietnam.
