Right now is a terrible time for students to come out of college and start looking for a job. Unfortunately there are just way too many people that are unemployed and looking for work. This makes it extremely hard for college students to come out of college and gain experience while also trying to pay off their school loans.
Fortunately the business world is changing and more companies are looking to hire people to work from home for simple data entry and virtual types of jobs. This is a great way for college students to get their feet in the door and start working not only after they have graduated, but also as a part time employee while in school.
The following is a list of three recommended “work at home jobs” for college students.
Tech Support / Call Center
No matter what happens to the economy, there is always going to be a need for tech and customer support. It’s now more cost effective for companies to hire virtual tech support employees versus bringing them in-house and having to pay for more office space.
Web Designer & Development
If you think about college students and how they worked ten or fifteen years ago, there was a lot less computers and more paper work. With that said, more student are now well trained in the art of web design and development. There are plenty of job opportunities for any college students who specialize in web design and graphic arts. This is of the best jobs out there for students, as they get to work from the comfort of their computer desk and are their own boss.
Virtual Assistant
As mentioned, more businesses and entrepreneurs are running their businesses over the internet, which means they have less of a physical staff but are still in need of help. Through the use of virtual assistants more business and tasks are being done without the need to bring in more employees and have a physical office / building location. Virtual assistants can do anything from simple data entry work, research, handle calls or whatever the job listing entails.
Don’t let the economy drag you and your success down. One of the best ways to get started is to get out there and start making connections. Starting with a work at home and data entry type of work is an excellent way to open the door to new opportunities while making some money in the process.
